What is counselling?

Counselling and Psychotherapy are umbrella terms that cover a range of talking therapies. They are delivered by trained practitioners who work with people over a short or longer term to help them bring about effective change or enhance their wellbeing (source: http://www.bacp.co.uk).

I am trained and experienced in Person-Centred/Humanistic Counselling, this type of counselling enables you to be open and freely express your personal emotions and feelings to help you to come to terms with any negative feelings about yourself. It can help you to develop personal skills to have the power and freedom to change and improve your self-esteem. Sometimes it’s difficult to say what’s on your mind. Talking to a Counsellor can help you cope with difficulty and make a positive change.

Short-Term Counselling
